PCB DESIGN

PCB design and production preparation

Multilayer and HDI printed circuit board design that accounts for electrical requirements, mechanical constraints, component placement, assembly and testing.

Design principle

A board must be correctly engineered and reliably manufacturable

PCB layout directly affects signal quality, power stability, electromagnetic behaviour, thermal performance and assembly reliability. Placement and routing are therefore planned together with schematic, mechanical and manufacturing requirements.

Work can begin from an existing schematic or cover the complete electronics design. Before routing, the board outline, connectors, critical circuits, layer structure and production constraints are aligned.

The outcome is a reviewed PCB project and an agreed manufacturing-data package ready for transfer to a prototype supplier.

Component placement

Functional zones, connectors, mechanical limits, thermal considerations and assembly access.

02

Routing and layer structure

Signal classes, power structure, return paths and appropriate layer allocation.

03

Multilayer and HDI PCB

Dense components, microvias, blind and buried vias where justified by the design.

04

Signal and power integrity

Critical-signal geometry, differential pairs, power paths and noise management.

05

Analogue and digital partitioning

When to get in touch

PCB design for different project needs

A new electronic boardYou have a schematic and need a production-ready PCB design.

A denser or smaller productYou need a multilayer or HDI structure and careful component placement.

Review of an existing PCBYou need routing, manufacturing-risk or recurring prototype problems assessed.

Production handoverYou need the manufacturing and assembly files reviewed and organised.

Workflow

From input data to a manufacturing package

At every stage, assumptions that affect the next design step are checked.

Project inputsReview the schematic, mechanics, libraries, currents, interfaces and manufacturer rules.

Rules and structureAlign the outline, layers, classes, critical signals and placement priorities.

Placement and routingDevelop placement and traces in stages with continuous design checks.

Production preparationPerform the final review and prepare the agreed manufacturing-data package.

Frequently asked questions

Before starting a PCB project

Can you work from my existing schematic?

Yes. The schematic, libraries, mechanics and manufacturing requirements are assessed first.

Do you design multilayer and HDI boards?

Yes. Layer and via structures are selected according to electrical, mechanical and manufacturing needs.

Will I receive editable project files?

The source and manufacturing files included in the handover are agreed clearly before work begins.

Can you support prototype ordering?

A production package can be prepared and technical questions coordinated with the selected manufacturing partner.

Need a dependable PCB design?

Send the schematic, mechanical data or a short project description. TavoTech will assess the available inputs and propose a practical next step.
